Voting Question: Should I apply to a four year school, or do one-two years of community?

I'm a senior in high school and as you all know it's that time to apply to colleges. I really haven't applied to any, since my SAT scores are really low. My first one was a 1080, which is low, and i took it a second time a couple weeks ago but didn't get those results yet. I'm not the strongest test taker, but, I do get decent grades in school. My last GPA was a 3.4, but I have had higher in past years. One year my highest was a 3.7. One college I was interested in was William Paterson University in NJ, since that's where I'm from so it'd be easy access. But I do not know if i'd get accepted, because of the SAT scores. I do have the GPA and all, but I feel like I would get denied due to my low scores. I also don't really have much extra curricular activies either. I do participate in dance classes outside of my school, and I did do swim team for two years for my school, but quit because it was getting too caught up with my schoolwork. I do feel like I should start off at a community college first, because I really have no idea what I wan't to do yet, and I feel like if I got accepted to a four year school, it'd be amazing and all, but I don't want to enter not knowing what I'm doing you know? Plus it would save ALOT of money going to community first and transferring, so I'm not paying as much when I graduate and I can find something I'm interested in. If anyone is willing to give me answers and suggestions that'd be great! Thank You (:... Read More »
